Did you hear the great news? Someone in our area is much richer than they were just a few days ago.

A lottery ticket -- which won $3.8 million -- was sold at the ACME in Yardville (Mercer County), NJ earlier this week. The New Jersey Lottery announced that the winning ticket was for this past Monday (December 27)'s Pick-6 drawing.

The winning numbers, by the way, were: 09, 17, 19, 24, 42, and 46. The XTRA Multiplier was 03, they say.

“We are excited to meet the winner of this $3.8 million jackpot prize and learn how it will impact their life," the Executive Director for the NJ Lottery James Carey said in a press release issued earlier this week.

It's unclear if the winner has since come forward to claim their ticket just yet. The cash value of the ticket is worth more than $3 million, the lottery says.

The winning retailer, by the way, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

Meanwhile, if you're looking to get rich... you may wanna try your hand at Saturday's Powerball lottery drawing. Nobody has won that jackpot since October, and it's soaring. The New Year's drawing is worth an estimated $500 million!

Earlier this week, a $50,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold at the QuickChek on Route 130 in Bordentown (Burlington County) for Wednesday (December 29)'s  Powerball lottery drawing. That ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball, which were drawn that evening.

It seems like it's been a great year for lottery winners in our area. Here's hoping this luck continues into 2022!
