A Whole New Way To Experience “National Treasure”
The movie "National Treasure" was one of the most successful films of 2014-15. According to wikipedia, it grossed over $374 million worldwide. Add to that video sales and streams, and the countless number of times it has aired on television and you've got what some would call a "modern day classic."
Now, you can experience the film in a whole new way. On Monday night at 7pm, Theatre Contra will perform a dramatic reading of the film's original script at Tattooed Mom on South Street in Philly.
Admission is free, but there is a suggested donation of $10 per person. All proceeds benefit Theatre Contra's 2018/19 season.
Theatre Contra's website notes that the performance is "a 21+ Event and that space is limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis." Theatre Contra was "established in 2017...(and) is a collaborative group that works to engage the community through new, devised, and established works that focus on the visceral conflict and conviction within us all."
