According to foodandwine.com, Open Table, the website and app that allows you to make restaurant reservations, is now going to help you reserve a spot to shop for groceries.

Food & Wine says that Open Table has partnered with some smaller grocery stores that want to limit the number of shoppers in a store at any given time.  They've also teamed up with some restaurants that have converted to offering "pop up" markets.

A website called theverge.com says that Open Table has told them that while stores are limited right now, they are in “active talks with other national grocers/retailers.”

Just like making a dinner reservation, Open Table allows users to reserve a time to go shopping or to join a virtual line at a store.

By the way, Food & Wine also says that Open Table has added a feature that lets you order carryout or delivery from local restaurants.
