Here's some good news that we may be getting back to a little bit of normalcy -- the Burlington County Farmers Market will open for the season this Saturday (May 23).

The market is located at the Burlington County Agricultural Center at 500 Centerdon Rd. in Moorestown. Vendors will be selling locally-farmed produce and pre-packaged prepared foods every Saturday from 8:30am-1pm every Saturday through October 31.

Of course, we all know that the "normal" that we used to know has changed and that is reflected with some new guidelines at the Farmers Market.

For example, according to burlcoagcenter.com, all customers must wear facemasks. Plus, the number of customers allowed in the market at one time will be limited to 75.

Public restrooms will not be available at the market and customers will be asked to not handle the produce or items for sale. Burlcoagcenter.com says vendors will pick up and bag purchases.

In addition, some vendors will be accepting pre-orders and some will only be accepting credit or atm cards for purchases. To check out vendor payment options, click here.

Burlcoagcenter.com notes that all listed vendors may not be at the market on Saturday, but here are a few that I am hoping will be:

  • Kelly Girl Desserts & Pastries - One look at some of the treats posted on Kelly Girl's Facebook page has me sold.
  • Pee Wee's Ice Cream - To be honest, I don't know anything about Pee Wee's, but I have really been craving some ice cream, so I'm excited to check out what they have to offer.
  • CJ's Salsas and Dips - One reviewer on CJ's Facebook page says the guac is the best they've ever had. I can't wait to see if it's true.
  • Healthy Paws - I can't come home without treats for my pups, so I'll have to hit up this stand.
