We really have to make sure we help the elderly during these tough times. Unfortunately, the elderly are more at risk of catching the coronavirus. That is why we are extremely happy to share that Dollar General and Stop & Shop will be having designated hours for only senior shoppers.

Dollar General stated on Twitter that starting today, Tuesday, March 17, the first hour of operation, which is 8 am to 9 am, will only be for the senior shoppers. It was also stated on the Dollar General press release that every store will be closing earlier than normal.

According to NJ.com, Stop & Shop has decided to help the senior shoppers also by opening at 6 am and having an hour and a half for shoppers that are of the ages 60 and older to get their essentials.

It was also mentioned on NJ.com that Stop & Shop made the decision to have seniors shop in less crowded areas and have a lot less social interactions.
