Technology is one thing that really changes rapidly. A lot of us probably don't remember when emails first started but it is believed that it all began in the early/mid 90's. Ever since then, it has become a more professional way to contact people in regards to job applications.

According to things will be changing very soon and receiving emails for job interviews is going to be a thing of the past. Now you are probably asking yourself, "So, how are they trying to communicate?" The answer is via text.

BizPhilly mentioned that communicating via email is way too slow and big companies benefit a lot more by texting the hiring candidates in order to  communicate a lot quicker. It was also said that over 50 percent of the hiring managers are texting prospects instead of emailing.

If you think about it there are some pros and cons to this.

Cons - You can accidentally drunk text your future employer, reply too quick and give a bad answer

Pros - Faster answers, Wouldn't miss out on  big opportunities, You probably check text more often, Makes it more personal.

If you really think about it there are probably more good things than bad.

However, a lot of employers really don't want to be a part of texting the hiring prospect. PhillyMag said, "using shorthand or abbreviations—can be ‘problematic’ and ‘displeasing’.”

To be completely honest, I am all for texting!
