If you plan on making a trip to Philadelphia within the next three or so months, something new just opened that you probably would want to check out. It was announced that starting today until July 17, an outdoor roller skating rink can be found in Dilworth Park in Philadelphia, PA.

The park just opened this roller rink up to the public starting today, so if you want to make your way out to the city to check this out you can go right now!

The venue listed that they are planning on hosting a lot of different events while the rink is open for all age groups to enjoy, according to phillyvoice.com.

On Mondays and also on Tuesdays the rink says they will host “Matinee Skates” from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. This means guests of all ages will receive a $5 discount on tickets.

Another event they’re hosting is called “Rewing at the Rink which will happen every Wednesday during the rinks residency at Dilworth Park, which will be going on between the hours of 7 p.m to 9 p.m.

The rink’s very own DJs will play all kinds of throwback music hits from the ’80s ’90s and early 2000s. There will be a bunch of backyard games available in addition to the skating.

This event starts on April 27 and will happen every week through May 25. Additional to all of the activities the rink has to offer, there is also a beer garden that’s worth checking out that has a lengthy beer and food menu.

Apparently, you can get fish tacos, cheesesteak egg rolls, and fluffernutter churros. I’ve never been placed in a position to try a fluffernutter churro, but I think I could eat about 10 of them if given the opportunity.

This event is super unique and unlike anything I’ve seen in the area so I for sure want to make a trip to the city to check this out.
