We’ve been waiting, and it sounds like it will finally be happening. Kelsey Grammar revealed that the plans for a Frasier reboot have been finalized, and at this point, it sounds like the deal with a possible network home is being finalized.

Grammer shared the news in an interview on In Depth with Graham Bensigner. Bensinger asked about the plans for the highly anticipated reboot

“We’ve hatched the plan (for the show),” Grammer said in the interview which was posted online Wednesday.

As for the show’s plot, we learned some new details about that as well.

“A revisit to Frasier’s world is, I think, is definitely going to come,” Kelsey revealed during the interview. “It’s not going to be the same place (not going to be Seattle). It’s not going to be the same Frasier. It’s still his search for love.”

Grammer also spoke about the show’s plot likely involving his son, Freddie, as well.

So what’s the hold-up? Well, it sounds like the show is being shopped around to networks at this point.

“We’re on standby working on a couple of possible of network deals that we’re circling,” Kelsey said during the interview.

It does, however, sound like it’s just a matter of the final details since Kelsey revealed that taping should start in the spring. However, it’s likely we’ll see the show “by late summer next year,” according to Grammer.

Will the other cast members sign on to the project? We’re hoping, but for now… we don’t know.
