Humpback Whales Spotted Off Shore at Sandy Hook
According to NJ.com, A family from Woodbridge was out near Sandy Hook on their boot on Memorial Day (Monday) when they got quite a show from some Humpback Whales.
The family says they really enjoyed the show and told NJ.com that they were not expecting to see the whales at all. Boy, did they put on quite a show splashing around.
Check out the whales putting on a show in the video below.
My dad lives down the shore and we've never seen any whales while we are out there, but it's probably because our little boat won't make it to the ocean.
I would have freaked out if I saw these whales, but I at the same time would have loved it.
I remember when I was a little girl and we went whale watching off the coast of Cape May. You take this big boat and you go out into the ocean and they give you binoculars and you just float out in the ocean and wait for some whales. I looked up a few of those rides, and I saw that you can even get a refund if you don't see any marine life during the trip.
That's pretty cool because it looks like it costs about $40 per person.
