New Jersey Ranks In The Bottom Half Of Tech Savvy States In America
If you thought New Jersey was on the cutting edge of technology, you're going to have to think again. We're in the bottom half of states in America when it comes to being tech-savvy.
We are a pretty business-oriented, metropolitan place here in New Jersey. With our proximity to New York and New Jersey, we have a lot more qualities of a big city than most places.
But when it comes to being tech-savvy, it turns out New Jersey seems to be behind the curve, at least according to one published report.
The study was called the Digital State Survey. It was conducted for 2022 and was published by the website GovTech.
For the most part, the results were not very kind to the Garden State, and certainly not where most of us thought they would be.
When it comes to an overall grade, New Jersey was very much in the middle of the pack, getting a B grade along with 8 other states in America.
33 states received a B+ or higher grade, putting New Jersey somewhere in the bottom 40% of tech-savvy states in the nation.
There were a lot of different categories, and the Garden State didn't come close to the top 3 in those categories, except for one.
We're ranked #1 in the "Connected Infrastructure" category, which shows we have provided "comprehensive IT-enabled services".
For the record. only six states got an A grade, and although no single state was chosen as the most tech-savvy, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio and Utah were the states that received an A.
