The water quality of all three beaches in question are above the safe level of a fecal bacteria called Enterococci. Ew, gross.

Patch.com reports the current concentration of the bacteria at these beaches is over 104 colonies per 100 milliliters.

Enterococci, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is 'normally found in the human intestines, female genital tract and environment (e.g., soil and water)'. Heart patients and those with weakened immune systems are reportedly most at risk of developing symptoms when exposed to the fecal bacteria. Infections can be treated with antibiotics.
