Why New Jersey shoppers are among top Holiday spenders in America

The apex of the Winter Holiday Season is Christmas. Every year, people plan ahead for Holiday Parties, Christmas decorations, buying gifts, and Holiday get-togethers with family.

While most people wait until after Thanksgiving to start decorating for the Christmas Holiday season, a new survey says 17 percent of Americans have so much Christmas Spirit that they will setup their Christmas displays in the first weeks of November.

The research team at Creative Fabrica surveyed thousands of America in every state to find out who is spending the most money on Christmas Decorations each year. Also, what states have more DIY Holiday Decorations versus in-store bought items.

How Much Christmas Spirit Does New Jersey Have?

Creative Fabrica's research has revealed that on average Americans are spending an average of $67.10 for new Christmas decorations each year. Also in the United States, the average time spent on decorating for the Christmas Holiday is 4 hours.

While New Jersey spends slightly less time setting up Christmas decorations (3.92 hours is 24th nationally), New Jersey residents are spending the third most money for the Christmas Holiday in America.

New Jersey is so passionate about their Christmas decorations, 45.10% will spend more money on supplies for their DIY Holiday Decorations than what it would cost for a generic in-store version.  This is the third-highest percentage in the United States.

The most popular Christmas decorations for New Jersey Residents surveyed are Table Centerpieces.  Coming in second place are Christmas tree toppers and third most popular are Holiday Wreaths.

While New Jersey is ranked in the bottom third of United States in Halloween Holiday Spirit, Creative Fabrica research has New Jersey as one of the top five states in their passion for Christmas Decorations in America.
