****UPDATE: Due to forecasted bad weather, the Easter Bunny's journey through Lawrence will now be Friday, April 10th.

Lawrence Township is making sure the kids in town can still see the Easter Bunny this year, even though the malls are closed. The Lawrence Police will be escorting him through town this week, according to Facebook.

There would have been many disappointed kids this year, if they didn't get to see the Easter Bunny. I can't wait to catch a glimpse of him myself.

So here's how it's going to go down. This Thursday (April 9th), starting at 8am, the journey throughout town will begin, with a lot of ground to cover. Make sure you're listening for the sirens and music and go outside to wave to him (or from your window).

Lawrence Police are of course asking you to stay 6 feet away from them, and from each other, let's say if a bunch of neighbors all come out for a wave at once. He will NOT be making any stops.

They'll be announcing more info on the route they'll take on the township website and Facebook as the week goes on.

For more information, please call the Lawrence Recreation Department at (609) 844-7067

This is so great. Bravo, Lawrence Township. Thank you.
