It's Pride weekend in Philadelphia!

In fact, Philly was one of the first cities in the country to host a pride parade, according to Phillygaypride.org.

Philly Pride Presents, has organized its annual PrideDay parade, festival, and block party.

The weekend kicks off tonight (Friday, June 7) at 12th and Locust Streets with a pride block party starting at 6 pm. Of course, there will be food, fun, drinks and music at tonight's party.

Events continue on Saturday, but the weekend's celebrations will culminate with the annual Pride Parade and Festival.

The parade starts at 11am at 13th and Locust Streets, and finishes when the crowd gets to Great Plaza, where the festival begins at Penns Landing. There will be performances throughout the parade route.

Comedian Fortune Femister and singer Frenchie Davis will headline this year's festivities. Also appearing during the festival will be Dawn Robinson, Ian Harvey, Brian Justin Crum, and David Hernandez.

If you’re down to party for a cause, grab your friends and head to Philly for a weekend of Pride.
