Mr. Ratburn From ‘Arthur’ Has Come Out as Gay

One of the characters on the popular PBS children's cartoon 'Arthur' just came out as gay.

During the shows 22nd season premiere, Arthur's teacher, Mr. Ratburn came out in the episode which highlights him marrying the love of his life.

I was reading some of the reaction tweets and some people were saying they didn't see it coming but when I really thought about it, I could totally see this coming and I actually LOVE it!

I think it is very cool and necessary for today's society.

According to vox.com, "The reception to the episode has been positive; many grown-up Arthur fans have said they’re impressed and touched by the storyline."

This was totally one of my favorite cartoons growing up so I can't wait to watch this full episode.
