Parade To Honor US Women’s Soccer Team Set For Wednesday In NYC
According to New York City Mayor Bill de Blassio, a ticker tape parade to honor the 2018 U.S. Soccer Women's National Team will be held in the city on Wednesday starting at 9:30am. DeBlassio tweeted the announcement:
Earlier today in Lyon, France, the U.S. beat the Netherlands 2-0 to win their second straight FIFA Women's World Cup.
It was the fourth time the U.S. had claimed the FIFA Women's World Cup.
Several celebrities tweeted about the victory, including Mandy Moore and Ellen DeGeneres.
Wednesday's parade will take place in the Canyon of Heroes, which according to Google, starts in Battery Park and goes north along Broadway to City Hall Park.
