Ten years ago this week, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was the number one film in the U.S.  According to the website the-numbers.com, the film grossed $104 million during it's first weekend of release and eventually made over $402 million domestically and an additional $434 million internationally.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was the follow-up to the 2007 blockbuster, Transformers.  Both films were directed by Michael Bay and starred Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.

If you were living in the area in 2008, you may remember that some of the scenes in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen were filmed on the campus of Princeton University.

During filming, Robert Stern from NJ.com spoke to Michael Bay about shooting scenes at the Ivy League school.  Bay told Stern that a scene where LaBeoulf was attending an astronomy class was shot inside of a lecture hall.

Another scene with LaBeouf and Fox was filmed in and around Dillon Gymnasium.

Producers has the difficult task of trying to keep onlookers from disturbing filming.  In the video below, a fan caught Shia LaBeouf stretching in between scenes.  At the end of the video, you can see a crew member trying to "shoo" the fan away.

You can spot a few of the Princeton scenes in the trailer below.
