I was the first person in my immediate and extended family to go to college and getting into Rider University and graduating from there was a huge deal to me. I am a proud Rider University alum and I could not imagine not being able to graduate after all my hard work. I feel so bad for students in high school and college because they're missing out on making so many memories because of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to The Patch, Rider University and Westminster Choir College have both made the difficult decision to postpone this year's graduation ceremonies and celebrations. Rider's commencement is moved to November 2020 and Westminster's to December 2020. Both campuses hope coronavirus doesn't come back in the fall, because they may have to move graduations again. Both colleges have other exciting big events planned that will actually be happening the same days as their graduations and they feel this is a great way to have everyone come together.

For more information on the commencement for the class of 2020, check out Rider University's website or email commencement@rider.edu for questions.
