Rolled ice cream, Thai ice cream, stir-fried ice cream.  Whatever you call it, shops serving this trendy treat have been popping up everywhere over the last few years.  And now, the trend has come to Newtown, PA at Sworl on South State Street.

According to a community post on Patch.com, Sworl starts "start by using a homemade vanilla base recipe using the freshest ingredients from local farms. By pouring the vanilla base onto a cold plate, the ice cream base solidifies into the texture of ice cream."  As the ice creams cools, mix-in's get added.  Finally, the mixture gets rolled and cut into swirls.  You kind of have to see it to understand it.
