A new challenge has been presented to thrill-seekers by Six Flags Great Adventure. According to nj.com, the 'Polar Coaster Challenge' will dare people to ride Nitro, an 80mph ride, in shorts and a short-sleeve shirt and frigid cold temperatures.  Great Adventure posted on their website saying that the event is named after the frigid temperatures expected this winter.

The event will take place on December 7th. According to requirements posted on Sixflags.com, in order to participate in the event guests must be tall enough to ride Nitro, must wear an elbow-length sleeved shirt or shorter as well as shorts, and check-in at 11 a.m. The weirdest rule of them all is that participants are allowed to wear gloves and/or a fitted hat that will not fly off during the ride. The website also states that all challengers must "sign a photo/video release form and safety waiver" to participate. Participants under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian with them to sign these waivers.

Sixflags.com shared that although there will not be a cash prize for this event, admission tickets into the park will be discounted by using the promo code POLAR. Good luck to any of you thrill-seekers that plan on taking on this challenge.
