Sixers’ Michael Rubin Helping Stop The Spread Of COVID-19
If you are a huge fan of the Philadelphia 76ers you have to know who Michael Rubin is. Well if you don’t, he is part owner of the Philadelphia basketball team. That's beside the point. Rubin is trying to help to make sure healthcare workers are provided with their everyday supplies during this pandemic.
NBCPhiladelphia.com recently reported that Rubin is looking to manufacture a million masks and gowns for healthcare workers in hospitals and emergency rooms. The way Rubin is trying to be able to do that is with his other company called Fanatics. Fanatics is an online retailer of licensed sportswear, sports equipment, and more.
According to NBCPhiladelphia.com, Rubin's company, which is based out of Easton, Pennsylvania, is looking to help all hospitals and emergency workers that are in need of supplies while trying to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. It was also stated on NBC10's website that this will only benefit hospitals and emergency healthcare workers in the state of Pennsylvania.
One of the best things that Michael Rubin shared in an interview was, "If you can make a difference, you've gotta go out and do that."
