A major power outage on The College of New Jersey campus forced school officials to cancel classes yesterday afternoon (Monday, November 11th) and all day today (Tuesday, November 12th), according to NJ.com.

TCNJ issued a statement that said, “The college has been able to diagnose the cause of the power outage affecting several campus buildings. Repairs are expected to extend through the night and will necessitate us to shut off power to additional buildings.”

A TCNJ alert around 9am this morning said, "Crews onsite made good progress overnight and this morning to repair the faulty high voltage line that caused the power outage on campus. At this time we do not have an estimate on when repairs will be complete. To ensure the safety of students and staff, affected buildings remain closed with no access until further notice. The college will provide updated information on when students can access residence halls no later than 2pm today. As was communicated previously, Tuesday classes have been canceled."

Gee..I bet the students are really upset to have this unexpected day off. Lol.

Classes are set to resume tomorrow morning (Wednesday, November 13th) at 8am.
