The Latino Festival of Hightstown-East Windsor is This Saturday
Are you looking for one last thing to do before summer ends? Well lucky for you I have one more thing you can add to your list of things-to-do-before-summer-ends.
The 7th Annual Latino Festival of Hightstown-East Windsor is happening this Saturday August 24 from 1-6 pm.
Now you may be wondering what this festival is even about? According to patch.com, “the purpose of this festival is to showcase the artistic and cultural traditions of Latinos in New Jersey and promote intercultural unity and understanding”.
The artists that will be performing will represent various Latino communities that reside in this region including Ecuador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and many more. According to The Patch, this diversity will also be seen in their musical styles, which will include traditional music, cumbia, merengue, pop and reggaeton.
Okay, we’ve already covered the music but what about food?!
There will be various Latino restaurants selling their delicious food leaving everyone’s taste buds satisfied.
I don’t know about you but I love Hispanic food, it’s one of my faves!
This is a family-friendly event so what about entertainment for younger kids? There will be arts & crafts, games, and much more so age is no excuse.
The event is free and open to the public and will take place at Rocky Brook Park ( 170 Bank Street, Hightstown NJ, 08520).
Wow, this Latino Festival sounds like so much fun!
