If not for the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus Florida would have been hosting the beginning of the NFL’s annual meetings Monday, March 30.

According to NJ.com, instead of meeting in person, owners and club officials will meet online to abide by social distancing recommendations. One major sporting event that will go on is the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft, beginning on April 23, according to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. The Las Vegas activities and fan attendance have been canceled but thanks to the video conferencing tool, Zoom, top prospects and coaches will be featured on a high-quality platform for the draft.

About 50 portable camera kits will be sent by the NFL to these individuals for their draft.

The future remains out of focus for the NFL, due to all 32 teams being ordered to close facilities. The 2020 NFL season may never happen, as the NBA, NHL and MLB have all suspended their seasons with no start update in sight.
