Truck Crash Shuts Down Route 70 in Medford
Route 70 in Medford (Burlington County) is shut down following a serious accident with a dump truck and an SUV.
6ABC reports that the accident happened just before 5:30 am Friday (July 26) on Route 70 (near Route 541).
CBS 3 reported that the dump truck struck a pole and is leaking diesel fuel in the area. The truck was actually on fire, but that has since been extinguished.
A medevac helicopter responded to the scene, and reports from CBS 3 say that at least one person has been taken the hospital. There is no word on their condition.
As of 8 am, the road (in both directions) remains closed in the area of the accident. Officials say Church Road is the alternate option.
