WATCH: Dozens of Burlington County Police & EMS Squads Show Support for Virtua Willingboro Staff
The Burlington Township Police Department teamed up with other local officials for a drive-by show of support for the incredible staff at Virtua Willingboro Hospital earlier today (Tuesday, April 7).
In what has been one of our favorite videos of the day, watch the incredible drive-by of more than a dozen emergency vehicles waving and cheering the heroic staff of the Virtua Willingboro Hospital earlier today:
"The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that not all threats come wielding guns or other physical instruments of harm," the township police department wrote on Facebook. "However, they can be just as deadly. Our healthcare professionals wage the battle on the front lines of this global health crisis."
The Burlington Township Police Department were joined by the Endeavor Medical Squad, Willingboro Township Police, Willingboro Fire Department, Bordentown Township Police, Bordentown City Police Department, Westampton Township Police Department, and the Florence Township Police Department.
Retired detective Steve Wegner played the bagpipes for the mini-parade.
Thank you to ALL of our healthcare workers and those on the front line of this pandemic.
We're all in this together.
