4 Drivers Charged For Not Paying PA Turnpike Tolls
If you've ever thought about going through a toll plaza without paying, you need to read this. According to patch.com, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office has charged 4 Pennsylvania residents "in connection with more than $21,000 in unpaid tolls at Pennsylvania Turnpike entrances in Bucks County."
Patch says that the 4 individuals arrested were:
- Christian M. Rodriguez of Willow Grove (186 unpaid rides totaling over $8,000 in unpaid tolls);
- Tatyana Yarmolyuk of Green Lane (136 unpaid rides totaling over $5,000 in unpaid tolls);
- Torr J. Robinson of Philadelphia (252 unpaid rides totaling over $5,000 in unpaid tolls);
- Shirley Chaplin-Sowell of Philadelphia (65 unpaid rides totaling almost $3,000 in unpaid tolls).
Patch reported that this was the "third round of charges filed in Bucks County as part of an ongoing effort to target Pennsylvania's most extreme cases of turnpike nonpayment" and in a statement, the Bucks County DA's Office said, "Previous cases have helped the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission recoup tens of thousands in unpaid tolls."
