A Man who Broke into Taylor Swift’s Home was from Jersey!!

I'm sure you've heard about the 26 year old man who broke into Taylor Swift's Rhode Island home back in July. Well turns out he is from New Jersey!!

His name is Richard J. McEwan, and he is from Milford. He is the third person this year that has attempted to break into Taylor Swift's home. However he was the only one to actually  make it inside. According to NJ.com, he got into the house by breaking a glass door. The funny things is, the first thing he did when he got in was take off his shoes! McEwan later told the police that he took off his shoes when he got inside because he was taught it was polite to remove shoes when a guest in someone’s home. 

Thankfully as soon as he got inside the alarm went off and alerted the police. McEwan did not have any weapons on him, but nonetheless Swift was not home at the time of the break in.

He was quickly arrested and charged with breaking and entering a home without the owner’s consent and willful trespassing. He posted a $5,000 bond and was released.
