Asbury Park’s Boardwalk is Getting an Upgrade!

Nothing is better than the summer at the Jersey Shore! There are so many beaches and boardwalks to enjoy in the garden state to make the most out of your summer vacation. Asbury Park has become more and more popular over the last couple of years because of all the work that has been done to it.

According to NJ.com, the Asbury Park Boardwalk will be revamped and finished in 2020. The renovation cost? $8 million! Once residents of Asbury Park heard that number, there was much of an outrage, since the initial quote of the new boardwalk was only supposed to be $6 million. Of course, residents knew that they would be paying for the boardwalk and many were very upset! However, taxpayers of Asbury Park can breathe a little easier since a developing company named iStar has agreed to fund the boardwalk. Plans for the boardwalk include a new stretch of the boardwalk, some rain gardens and theres even talks for a pool club.

Asbury Park just keeps getting better and better and I think will definitely be on everyone's "must visit" list in the next couple of years!
