Breast cancer patients and survivors deserve the best, and one local organization wants to help them sleep.

As it comes with many diseases, sometimes cancer can come with many sleepless nights and feel very uncomfortable and according to news outlet 6ABC, the United Breast Cancer Foundation wants to help. This wonderful organization has been giving out free mattresses to breast cancer patients and breast cancer survivors, and now they're giving some away in our area. They actually have almost 400 to give away and they will be in the Hatboro area.

Breast cancer affects more people than you know. About 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Those are some scary stats, however, early detection can save lives and doctors urge women to get mammograms at a certain age and always do self-breast exams to make sure there aren't any abnormalities.

For more information, and to apply for a mattress, visit The United Breast Cancer Foundation's website. Applications are due by June 10th and volunteers are also needed for this wonderful event.
