Eclair Cafe has opened on Main Street in Pennington. For months, locals watched the progress, eagerly anticipating it's opening, and the wait is over. The beautiful chandeliers in the window will draw you in, and the smell of the coffee, pastries, and of course, eclairs will keep you going back.

The husband and wife owners, Pennington residents, Ron Suzuki and Marie-Mathilde Laplanche (she's also the head chef) were thrilled to open their doors for business on March 27th. Marie-Mathilde is so happy to have a little bit of her homeland in Pennington, and draws inspiration from her grandfather who baked lots of goodies during her childhood in France. You'll see the beautiful reminders of France on the walls of the cafe.

They're open for breakfast and lunch. Stop in for croissants (which I love), scones, pastries, breakfast sandwiches on homemade brioche rolls, quiche, and so much more.

MercerMe's food reviewer, Renata Barnes, of The Taste Chase, gave it a big thumbs up. Check out her article. I can't wait to try it. I love supporting new, yummy, local businesses. Lol.

Enjoy.
