Last week, my friend asked me if I wanted to go to a Rutgers basketball game on Friday night. I had no plans, so I said, "sure, why not?!" Rutgers was playing Michigan State and it was supposed to be a good game, so I grabbed my red "R" hat and went to go meet her at her house.

We pulled up to the RAC, (where the basketball games are played) and we see a bunch of mascot's there, so it seemed like something was going on.

We saw Boomer from the Trenton Thunder, Sparky from the Somerset Patriots, Gritty from the Philadelphia Flyers, and a bunch more. When I scanned Twitter, I found out that they were all there for the Rutgers Scarlet Knight's Birthday.

It was so cute! All the mascots where all over the place during the game, including on the court. They had a dance contest at one point and it had everyone in the gym laughing so hard!

Gritty really stole the show though! Whether he was dancing on the sidelines or jumping in the stands with fans, he was just hilarious! The best part of the night, though, was when he made a half-court shot, during the halftime show. Yeah, It was crazy!

Okay, I lied, the best part of the night was seeing Gritty do a split! I don't care what people say about Gritty, he is awesome.
