Hamilton Restaurant Named Among the Best Al Fresco Spots in America
Do you enjoy dining al fresco? Are you from the Mercer County area? If you answered yes to both questions, you're in luck. Rat's Restaurant in the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton Township (Mercer County) has been named one of the best spots for al fresco dining in the entire country. Wow.
I'm embarrassed to admit, I live no more than 15 minutes away from Rat's, in nearby Lawrenceville, and I've never dined there, but, after reading this on NJ.com, it's now on my summer bucket list.
Open Table came up with a list of the 100 Best Al Fresco Restaurants in America for 2019. Sounds fancy, doesn't it? You don't have to google it...dining al fresco simply means eating outside. There's something about dining outside that I truly enjoy, as long as the weather's nice (we all know how unpredictable New Jersey weather has been lately), and there's a great view.
Now's the perfect time to try Rat's before the heat and humidity arrives for the next few months. Rat’s OpenTable listing describes it as “a relaxing and exotic escape featuring delightful cuisine, spectacular views and elegant ambiance.” Sounds great to me. One of my PST co workers and his wife go to Rat's every year, on their anniversary, and always have great things to say.
Rat's Restaurant is located in Grounds for Sculpture at 16 Fairgrounds Road, Hamilton Township. Reservations are recommended.
