Healthcare Workers & First Responders Get Free McDonald’s Meals
McDonald's just announced that starting tomorrow, they'll be giving healthcare workers and first responders free "Thank You Meals."
In a statement, McDonald's said healthcare workers, police officers, firefighters and paramedics "can simply show their work badge, or be in uniform" in order to receive a free "Thank You Meal") at participating McDonald's locations through May 5.
For breakfast, frontline heroes can choose between an Egg McMuffin, a Chicken McGriddles sandwich, or a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit. The "Thank You Meals" will also include a hash brown and any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee.
Lunch and dinner options include a Double Cheeseburger, a 6-Piece Chicken McNuggets, or a Filet-O-Fish. These meals include small fries and any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee.
Dr. William Jaquis, President of The American College of Emergency Physicians, said in a statement, "Emergency physicians and other health care workers on the frontlines are spending hours a day on their feet, often missing meals in their efforts to care for their patients. McDonald's Thank You Meal is a much appreciated gesture for those risking their lives each day to take a break with a hot meal amidst the turbulence."
