Luxury handbag boutique cancels sale after brazen Morristown burglary

MORRISTOWN — A Morris County luxury designer handbag boutique has been forced to cancel its special one-day sale that is supposed to happen tomorrow, after it was robbed over the weekend.

Masked thieves rob Morristown luxury handbag boutique in seconds

Store surveillance video shows five masked thieves rushing into C’est La Bella, located at 6 Community Place in Morristown on Sunday afternoon, with some shoppers inside.

It took them merely 10 seconds to grab as many designer handbags as they could, then carry them out in their arms.

The video shows that while the brazen thieves come rushing in, two people inside the store, first a woman, then a man, exit the front the door.

The surveillance footage from a different angle shows what appears to be two female shoppers asking a female store employee for help with a handbag when the group of thieves come barreling inside.

Startled, the three women run behind the counter and out a back door. While the burglary is happening, a small dog can be seen on video running around the store and even chasing after the suspects.

It’s not clear who the dog belongs to in the video.

Designer handbag flash sale canceled after Morris County burglary

A couple of days ago, C’est La Bella announced on Instagram it was planning to hold a Vintage Designer Bag Under $400 Flash Sale on Tuesday, July 14.

“We’re dropping special one-day pricing on a curated selection of authentic vintage designer bags. This is your chance to score the bag you’ve been dreaming about, at prices you won’t want to miss,” the store wrote.

After the robbery, the store was forced to cancel Tuesday’s sale.

Police search for suspects after brazen Morris County theft

“We will be closed for a little bit as we recoup and discuss next steps. Please keep us in your prayers as we recover and move past this. And please anyone with information please contact the police,” C’est La Bella wrote on Facebook.

The thieves remain at large, and it’s not clear yet how much in merchandise was stolen.
