Popular Ocean County Brewery Frye Brewing Announces Final Weekend
While one new brewery, Buena Connection, just opened its doors, another one in Point Pleasant Boro has announced it will be closing.
Buena Connection, a new brewery at 112 Wheat Road in Buena, where community, craft brews, and good vibes come together, had its grand opening on Saturday with a loft full of entertaining games, plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sports, and a taproom to check out all of their new beers.
Frye Brewing Announces Closure
Popular Ocean County brewery Frye Brewing, located at 2257 Bridge Ave, in Point Pleasant, announced Monday evening that it will hold its last call and close its location for good this Saturday.
The brewery was popular for its live music, Vinyl Sundays, where they play album sides all afternoon in the tap room, and of course, its craft beer.
Sharing the news via its social media pages, the family-run favorite, owned by Collen and Mike Frye, stated that after a 'wacky, enjoyable, and educational ride, it's time to move on.'
"We love you, and thanks for taking this ride with us." Frye Brewery, which opened in 2017, thanked some of its fellow Ocean County craft beer friends like Little Dog, Icarus, Last Wave Brewery, and all the other breweries that helped advise them the past eight years. "We never could have made it without your help," Frye posted on social media.
"There are too many people to thank, just want to say it's been an amazing ride."
Final Hours and Farewell Message
The brewery will be open Wednesday-Friday, which they call Fryeday, from 5-9 pm, and on their final day, Saturday, they will be open 1-9 pm. "Come and pick up a beer to go or raise a glass in the tap room, but come by and say bye."
