In what may be one of the more strange celebrity feuds that we've heard about in recent years, beloved 'Jeopardy!' host, Alex Trebek, just revealed that he is not a fan of the Phillie Phanatic.

The revelations came during Friday night's episode of 'Jeopardy!' which aired locally on 6-ABC. You can see for yourself here:

The Philadelphia Phillies immediately expressed their sadness on Twitter, saying "We'll take 'how could you for $2,000, Alex":

I mean, how could one of America's most beloved game show hosts diss our favorite mascot like that?

To be fair, Trebek DID say he liked the team. So that's a start.

What inspired the revelation? Well, a contestant on last night's show, Brian Lynch (a filmmaker from Los Angeles) revealed he once got into a fight with the Phanatic during a Triple-A game in Scranton.

"I had my feet on the dugout and my one foot grazed him somewhere and I didn't realize until he rolled on top of me and started elbowing me," Lynch said.

It sounds like Lynch "won the fight," but this probably didn't paint the phonetic in the best light. So maybe it totally makes sense.

We're curious, though, how would a fight between the two icons go over?

Trebek recently revealed that he resumed chemotherapy treatment following his stage four pancreatic cancer diagnosis earlier this year. He has detailed the effects that chemotherapy has had on filming and hosting the show, and he has said that sometimes it is difficult to speak because of the sores in his mouth.

In all seriousness, we are rooting for the Jeopardy! host.
