On Tuesday’s episode of ‘Songland,’ the Jonas Brothers fell in love with Philly songwriter Able Heart’s self-produced song “Greenlight.”

‘Songland’ is a reality television show on NBC where up-and-coming songwriters showcase their talents with the chance of having big-time artists sing their songs. For the first season, the show features artists such as Jonas Brothers, John Legend, and Charlie Puth, just to name a few.

NBC10 mention that when John Paciolla aka Abel Heart was 15-years old, Heart was an aspiring Olympic athlete when he experienced a back injury that ended his career. After his back injury, Heart fell into addiction and depression. On “Songland,” Heart explained how music helped him through his recovery.

Over the years, Heart has developed his talents through working on his musical techniques and ghostwriting songs. According to NBC10 last year, Heart released his first EP about his struggle with addiction, which he titled “Drugs.”

The Jonas Brothers ultimately recorded his song “Greenlight,” and it is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms.
