Looks like all those seasons of building his profile and playing up his bromance with Blake Shelton on The Voice is finally about to pay off for Adam Levine.

His band Maroon 5 has reportedly been tapped to play the Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show in Atlanta, Georgia on February 3, 2019.

A source told Us Weekly that "the offer [for Maroon 5 to headline] has been extended and they’ve pretty much accepted."

Back in 2015, the rock frontman told Howard Stern that it was the band's dream to play the iconic televised sporting event.

"We very actively want to play the Super Bowl," he admitted, telling the radio host that Maroon 5 had been on the "short list" of potential headliners for years, though nothing was confirmed at the time.

Maroon 5 is currently on tour promoting their 2017 album, Red Pill Blues. As Us Weekly points out, "the band has a break from shows in between a Las Vegas New Year’s Eve gig and the February 19 start of the Australian leg of their tour — leaving their schedules wide open for the February 3 game."
