According to NorthJersey.com, NJ Transit has "banned all beverages on any of their public transportation" this weekend, as well as the weekend of March 16-17.  This ban coincides with LepreCon and several of the area's St. Patrick's Day parades.

NJ Transit says, "No beverages of any kind, in any type of container, open or closed, will be permitted on board trains, buses or light rail vehicles."  The notices goes on to say that the "policy will be strictly enforced."

LepreCon is the name given to Irish-themed bar crawls that occur throughout the U.S., including the popular Hoboken LepreCon.
