Unfortunately, following other townships, Robbinsville Township has canceled their St. Patrick's Day parade scheduled for March 21st, according to Facebook.

The post read:

"Out of a continued abundance of caution associated with the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Robbinsville Township, in conjunction with the Robbinsville Irish Heritage Association (RIHA), has cancelled the March 21, 2020 St. Patrick’s Day Parade."

The post continued, "This afternoon, Gov. Phil Murphy recommended the cancellation of all public gatherings of 250+ people, including parades, concerts and sporting events, saying social distancing works."

Neighboring Hamilton Township announced earlier in the day that they are postponing their parade that was scheduled for this Saturday, March 14th. No new date was announced yet.

This is all so surreal, isn't it. Most of us have never experienced anything like this in our lives. But, it seems as if "social distancing" will help slow the spread of this novel virus, so I will be doing just that. Hopefully, this will calm down soon.
