There's a bicycle thief on the loose all across the Jersey Shore towns! Bikes have been disappearing at an insane rate this past summers. According to 6abc.com, police have released surveillance images of a person that may be connected to more than 20 bike thefts.

In Avalon over the past 3 years there have been 376 thefts of bicycles. The good news is that this summer the number of bike thefts are significantly lower than previous years. Police officials hope that the decrease in thefts are due to their message of securing their property.

Bike shops across the shore area are making it clear to their customers to use the safety locks that are given so they are not the next target.

Shore towns relatively have low crime rates, but regardless it still exists, so make sure to lock up your bikes.
