Condragulations are in order for RuPaul: After appearing during the 2018 Primetime Emmys opening musical in a segment about diversity on TV, RuPaul took home the 2018 Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Series tonight (Monday, September 17) for RuPaul's Drag Race.

The VH1 reality TV and LGBTQ+ icon was awarded the trophy by the titular cartoon stars of Rick and Morty—who appeared as presenters during an bizarre onscreen animated segment—and came up onstage alongside cast members and fellow judges including Ross Mathews, Carson Kressley and Michelle Visage.

"To all the dreamers out there: If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else? Can I get an amen up in here? Now let the music play!" RuPaul exclaimed during his acceptance speech.

RuPaul's Drag Race is only the fourth show to ever win the award since its inception in 2003, following The Amazing Race, The Voice and Top Chef. The series was first nominated in 2015.

Earlier this month, RuPaul took home the Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality Program.

It's been a standout year for RuPaul. On March 16, he earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, making him the first drag queen to achieve the honor.
