SEPTA’s largest union has voted to authorize a strike, which could bring buses, subways, and trolleys to a halt. No date for the strike is set (yet).

SEPTA just passed a “doomsday” budget with up to 45% service cuts and a 21.5% fare increase starting August, as state funding hangs in the balance.

The delays are expected to start as early as 3:00 p.m. with dozens of streets closing.

This could make commuting in Philly and the suburbs incredibly difficult by the ned of the year.
