Too early to be talking about football? Never!

Our Philadelphia Eagles are number 24 on the list of this year’s most valuable teams in the world!

I think that calls for an eagles chant. E-A-G-L-E-S- EAGLES!!!!

It was just released that the boys have safely secured the #24 spot on the list of the 50 most valuable teams in the world. They beat out teams like the Green Bay Packers, the Pittsburg Steelers, and even the Denver Broncos. But that’s not the craziest part! The Eagles even beat teams of other sports. They ranked before teams like the Houston Rockets (NBA), and the New York Mets (MLB).

How exactly was this determined? They pretty much look at how much money the team brings in. Though the Eagles slipped a few spots from last year (they were at #22), their value in terms of money grew by $10 million! That’s 4% more than they were last year. However, the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls have made their way into the top 25, which is why the Eagles are down a couple, but that’s ok! We got this!  That’s pretty insane. According to forbes.com, the NFL is still the most dominant sports league when it comes to the worth of its franchises. More than half of the top 50 are football squads.
