The Seaside Heights Fire Department and the local first aid squad will be featured on an upcoming NBC tv pilot. How exciting is that. I love when I see local places featured on tv. I always yell out, "I've been there." Lol.

The show is called, "Emergence." Deadline Hollywood says it's about a police chief who takes in a kid that she found near the scene of an accident. It will star big name, Donald Faison and Allison Tolman. Allison will play the police chief and Donald will play her ex husband and father of their daughter. They filmed in Island Beach State Park recently, according to Shorebeat.

So how much of the local fire department and first aid squad will we see? The Mayor, Anthony Vaz, who is also a longtime volunteer with the fire department revealed that we'll see a few of their trucks and a few firefighters.

Great exposure for some local heroes, and some much needed cash for the volunteer organization.  The Seaside Heights Borough Council received a $20,000 paycheck from the production team for the fire department.

I can't wait to see them on tv. No word on when it will air.
