This Is New Jersey’s Favorite Jelly Bean Flavor
Normally, I can give or take eating jellybeans around Easter, but for some reason, since I don't have access to any in self-quarantine, I'm really craving them.
My favorite flavors are definitely things like grape, watermelon, and cherry. I'm not a big fan of the Jelly Belly flavors like buttered popcorn and I absolutely hate black licorice flavored jelly beans.
A website called candystore.com looked at jelly bean sales over a 12 year period and came up with a list of every state's favorite flavor and the top choice in New Jersey is...
...you guessed it --- black licorice. (Yuck!)
Candystore.com says that New Jersey's #2 flavor is peach and #3 is cherry.
By the way, I grew up in Maryland and according to candystore.com, cherry is tops in that state, so maybe it makes sense that fruit flavors are my favs.
While I was surprised the black licorice is NJ's favorite, I was equally surprised to find out that candystore.com says that cinnamon is Pennsylvanian's favorite flavor. (And according to candystore.com, cinnamon is also the top flavor for the entire U.S.)
