The Jersey Shore makes an appearance in a BIG WAY on the new season of Queer Eye, which dropped on Netflix today (June 5).

In the sixth episode of the new season the fab five make over Ryan Dyer (DJ High Def) who is a DJ/MC at the popular Point Pleasant nightclub, Jenks.

Queer Eye, now in its fifth season of the reboot, as you probably know, involves an emotional makeover for a deserving person who has been nominated by their loved ones.

We won't give away any spoilers from the episode. So we'll just tell you that Dyer was nominated by his parents as they want Ryan to find some self-confidence so he could find love. The episode culminates with a big family dinner.

Season five is primarily set in Philadelphia, so the cast takes Ryan to the city for some of the make over, but we see plenty of our favorite sites in Point Pleasant throughout the hourlong episode -- including the boardwalk, beach, Jenks, and more.

By the way, I have watched every episode of the Queer Eye reboot on Netflix since it premiered back in 2018. This season, of course, is extra special since it has SO many local shoutouts in Philadelphia for me.

I was excited to see some of these sites featured in this season (yes, I already watched most of it):

  • Aether in Fishtown (episode 4)
  • Front Street Cafe (episode 1)
  • Wissahickon Valley Park (episode 7)
  • Bookers Restuarant & Bar (episode 10)

By the way, the show brings up a LOT of emotions for many of us, but it is the feel good show that I definitely needed. Maybe next time I'll watch and play this Queer Eye drinking game that was featured on BillyPenn.com this week.
