Rumors have been swirling for several days now, and our friends over at our sister station 92.7 WOBM gave us the heads up that it's now official:

The Air Force Thunderbirds and Navy Blue Angels demonstration flight teams will fly over our area on Tuesday to show support for first responders, medical professionals, and all those on the front lines of the COIVD-19 battle.

Here's the timeline of flyovers for that Tuesday:

- Flyovers in Newark, New York City, and the surrounding boroughs will start at NOON and last for approximately 35 minutes.

- Flyovers in Trenton will start at 1:45 pm and should last approximately 10 minutes.

- Flyovers in Philadelphia will start around 1:55 pm and should last approximately 20 minutes.

“We are incredibly honored to have the opportunity to salute those working on the frontline of the COVID-19 response, we are in awe of your strength and resilience,” said Cmdr. Brian Kesselring, U.S. Navy Blue Angels commanding officer and flight leader. “Thank you to all of those in essential industries keeping our nation moving forward. We will get through this. We are all in this together.”

In fact, the Thunderbirds emphasized in their statement today that you should refrain from traveling to landmarks and hospitals to view the flyover. Do NOT gather in large groups to view the flyovers.

We'll share more details as soon as they're released.
