Houses Collapse In Early Morning Fire in West Deptford, NJ; At Least 2 Injured
At least two people were injured after a serious fire destroyed two homes in West Deptford (Gloucester County), New Jersey, early Thursday morning. Both homes have since collapsed.
Officials say the fire broke out around 4:15 am Thursday morning on Tatum Street. It quickly spread to a neighboring home.
Two other persons are "unaccounted for," according to a report from 6 ABC. But it's not clear if the persons who are unaccounted for are those who were injured.
Television footage from NBC10 shows that at least one of the homes has collapsed.
Firefighters appear to have gotten the upper hand on the fire as the flames are less intense than they were earlier. Smoke can still be seen billowing from the scene, as of 6 am Thursday.
This is a developing story. We'll have more details soon.
